Can Revenge ever be Legal or Ethical???

Bush and Powell, what a great duo for this thread. It seems to me that he's got this revenge motivation written on him already, not making distinctions between the terrorists and the countries which harbour them. That's redneck politics for y'all!!

I started this topic post 4 days before the September 11 Tragedy.

I was looking for personal stories.

Personal stories don't seem to have the same relevance or importance since the September 11 tragedy.

I hate to see this topic be about the WTC when it was originally posted before September 11th...

But I believe we will lose the battle of Revenge with the Taliban and Bin Ladin.

Because I believe they lie better than us!

The Protestations started three years ago when a certified Pilot crashed a plane with 300 civilians into the Atlantic Ocean while the other pilot struggled with him to keep the plane from crashing.

The story was killed after a week in the news...that story should have been in the news for a month.

But it was killed after a week because of the furor the story caused in the Middle East.

Many protestations followed from Middle Eastern countries that the story of the crash being deliberate were offensive to their religious teachings.

The probable truth be damned, religious posturing was the order of the day.

I believe that fateful accident should have been publicized to raise public awareness.

Instead the story was killed to appease the Middle East.

What's my point in retelling this sad story.
I think recent incidences point to one sad possibility.

Even if we "take-out" those responsible for the WTC Tragedy.

Middle Eastern Family and friends will lie and say it was typical American Bullyism killing innocent people.

The war of mind games drastically favors the Taliban.

I think it could take years of PR effort to swing the tide back.

Violence will make winning the PR War next to impossible.

The latest is that FBI subordinates are pointing fingers at their higher-ups. Claims there might have been a Saudi Arabian influence into thwarting an investigation BEFORE 9-11 had happened are coming to the surface.

Ok Ok, semi observant one. I couldn't find my original topic post about the Airplane that was crashed into the Atlantic a couple of years ago, and how I thought there was Saudi influence to kill that story, so I posted this new info on this topic post.
